Al Stohlman Poly Head Hammer Replacement Head

Luke is hooking me up with a replacement head for my mallet. Thanks Luke!! Joker -
Been keeping my eye open on Craigslist but nothing has popped up yet. Your right it would be very nice to have a small lathe not only for turning these pistons but other small things for the scooter. Thanks Joker
-
Im in Kansas and your right a small lathe would be cool but to find one that would chuck a piston I think would be kinda hard. I just use a sawsall and a 4" grinder. Takes longer but it works I guess, lol.

l cut the skits off then grind down the ring groves so there is a place to rivit the leather, Here is one that I did with shovelhead pistons.

I have a Tandy Leather Al Stohlman Poly Head 1 lb Hammer and the head cracked and split while the other side, a piece broke off and flew across the room. Does anyone know if there is somewhere I can get a replacement head for the handle. The handle is fine but the head is shot. I guess I might have got to mean with it. If anyone knows, please shoot me and email at jokerbfmc49@gmail.com Thanks Joker

Hey Dust, I do the dark colors first like the black and let it dry real good then I used the saddle tan antique gel with a small stiff brush and rubbed it out. The lettering is natural. I used KEWI natural polish after it dried and have never had a prob with it bleeding. As far as dying it and it not getting on anything it isnt suppose to, i use a very fine brush and alot of time and a steady hand. Hope this helps Joker

I just finished up this seat for a customer in PA. His father passed away in 07 with cancer from agent orange. He was wounded in Vietnam and served in an artillery unit. He wanted a tribute done to him and this is what I came up with. Thanks Joker
