  8. Hey Steve, I use Chicago Screws that I got from Tandy. They come in different lengths like 1/4, 3/8 and 1/2 and in brass or silver. Thanks for the kutos Joker
  9. Just finished up this solo for a good buddie of mine. He is building a hardtail with a fuel injected Buell motor with NOS. This is what we came up with. Thanks Joker
  10. Those are just pop rivits. I drill the piston and then use pop rivits and a washer. It holds real well. thanks for the kutos! Joker

  14. Been keeping my eye open on Craigslist but nothing has popped up yet. Your right it would be very nice to have a small lathe not only for turning these pistons but other small things for the scooter. Thanks Joker
  15. Im in Kansas and your right a small lathe would be cool but to find one that would chuck a piston I think would be kinda hard. I just use a sawsall and a 4" grinder. Takes longer but it works I guess, lol.
  16. l cut the skits off then grind down the ring groves so there is a place to rivit the leather, Here is one that I did with shovelhead pistons.

  18. I have a Tandy Leather Al Stohlman Poly Head 1 lb Hammer and the head cracked and split while the other side, a piece broke off and flew across the room. Does anyone know if there is somewhere I can get a replacement head for the handle. The handle is fine but the head is shot. I guess I might have got to mean with it.   19. Hey Dust, I do the dark colors first like the black and let it dry real good then I used the saddle tan antique gel with a small stiff brush and rubbed it out. The lettering is natural. I used KEWI natural polish after it dried and have never had a prob with it bleeding. As far as dying it and it not getting on anything it isnt suppose to, i use a very fine brush and alot of time and a steady hand. Hope this helps Joker
  20. I just finished up this seat for a customer in PA. His father passed away in 07 with cancer from agent orange. He was wounded in Vietnam and served in an artillery unit. He wanted a tribute done to him and this is what I came up with. Thanks Joker

  23. Just finished up the piston toolbag for a customer in Missouri. He bought one of my seats and wanted a toolbag to match and later wants a dash panel also with the same pattern. Thanks Joker This one and one more like it except it will have no tooling are heading to Canada friday morning for a customer that also has one of my seats.
