Hello all, I am in dire need of a template for a Beretta 92f 9mm. I have a very close friend that has recently been deployed over to Afghanistan and is requesting me to make him a shoulder rig for his side arm. Now those of us who have been in the military know 2 things; 1.- Officer's like "pretty things" & 2.- issued equipment is never the best alternative. the rig that the Army has issued is a piece of typical military crap, and is not doing the job, he has sent me a schematic to follow, and although I am a holster maker, i am not able to get my hands on a Beretta mock up due to the limited ammount of people that actually ask for a holster for this weapon. if anyone on here is able to make me or has on hand a template for this weapon, please let me know via email. klagatella1979@verizo.net. Thank you i advance and God bless.

look for will ghormley's 100th anniversary 1911 pattern pack. it has it -
I make several styles of judge holsters, unfortunately none in a pancake design. i found it easy to just buy an aluminum gun for them. After I made one, i never figured anyoone else would want one. Guess again!!! it appears that the clunky P.O.S. is a popular gun with the old crowd that thinks "the bigger th gun the better!" good idea to pass on the job, but look into a blue gin or aluminum mold. best of luck!

Not sure if this will help you out very much but Tandy's has recently started selling a pattern pack for 1911's 100 yeaar anniversary. i am not sure how many paterns or what kind but it might be worth a try, as far as the brass, i can usually find some things at lowes or home depot that with a little dremmil tool work makes the perfect use. good luck. -

I dont concider myself an end all authority on this subject but have done several interiors on vehicles utilizing leather. From what i know, a majority of "tooled" interiors are actually embossed hides. and i have also had a few that were lazer etched into te hide, i must say that if you are looking at doing a head liner in leather then you are better off sticking to the embossed, it doesnt take more than a 3-4 oz leather to start seperating your headliner from teh fiber board backing it, I usually do Ford King ranches and Hummers when i do it, my cost on material for a ford is about $500.00 and make it for $1,500, it is a very timely proccess especially when you get into dashes and consoles. just remember measure twice and cut once, you want what appears to be a natural seam or no seam at all. Best of luck to you. ~ Kevin
