  1. Just did my first holster about a week ago. Really was surprisingly easy. Al Stohlman's holster book has some okay patterns, but it has really great stuff on how to make a holster from scratch with no pattern, which is how I did mine, maybe I'll get a photo up here.
  2. With Tandy, it seems to depend on what your getting... In my area, my store has the best prices on anything leather-related you can find... I don't know how true that is nationwide.
  3. Mayhaps I'm putting my ass on the line here... Hope nobody in Tandy corporate is reading this, but I'll be frank... I'm not impressed by them. They're overpriced and made from this wierdo factory-finished leather... No hope of tooling them, which is lame... Kinda takes out the whole "custom" aspect that Bikers like... If someone were selling these, tooling flames or skulls or summat on them would up the price dramatically at shows, but alas, it's impossible given the material. I think Tandy's hitting the right market with the wrong product... It's good they've finally recognized that somebody other than cowboys does leatherwork, but I doubt these bags will do well... They need to be toolable and about half the cost.
  4. Hello folks. New here, just thought I'd say hello. My name is Cody, I've been doing leatherwork for about three years now, getting better every project. I've worked with Tandy leather in Tempe, AZ for almost all three of those years... and it's been a great experience, I've had the opprotunities to work with some of the best in the world... Man I love this art! In terms of what I do, I'm pretty broad-based. I like to dabble in a little of everything, and take on different projects. Anyways, been looking for a group like this for a while. Thanks for having me!
