    Truly beautiful work!
  2. This is my first finished project using kangaroo lace. I soaped the lace before starting - do I need to apply some type of protective coating now? Also, I used a turkshead to cover the start/end joint but was disapointed that is didn't tighten up as well as I would have liked. How do you determine which turkshead to use to ensure coverage etc... Thank you for any suggestions/advice.
  3. Ohio Travel Bag also carry the chain and diamond. http://www.ohiotravelbag.com/FlipBook/hardware%20catalog%20p210/index.html The below link has dog bone, dog and dog paw decorative rivets. Unfortunately, not the dog paw you've posted, http://www.pethardware.com/en/spikes-and-decorative-rivets.html
  4. Hi, I've been trying to duplicate the gulf knot Ron Edwards demonstrates in his Bushcraft 8 book, but something isn't quite right. Any suggestions/ideas? The knot won't lie straight - see pictures - and seems too bulky. I haven't had any luck finding additional tutorials/info for this knot. The scrap I'm practicing with is 5-6 oz if that matters. Ron Edwards, Bushcraft 8 p. 21-22 Thank you in advance. Victoria
  5. I found this metal cuff blank supplier while looking for supplies to try and make Gary's bracelet. I haven't purchased yet, so I can't recommend them, but wanted to share the link in case you're having the same trouble I did finding the metal cuff used in the tutorial. http://www.beadwork-supplies.com/braceletblanks.html If you do use them, I'd be interested to know what you think. Unfortunately, I've had to put this project off until after the holidays.
  6. Thank you! I'll give it a try.
  7. Hello, Does anyone have a used copy of Ron Edwards Bushcraft 8 they are willing to part with? If not, do you know of an online source with reasonable prices for book & shipping? Thanks!
  8. Hi, I know I love a tutorial that will help me improve my photo quality and thought you might too. I found this on Etsy - check it out! http://www.flickr.com/photos/kasaa/3015610501/in/set-72157608788324466/ Victoria
  9. Hi, I think I found the bracelet tutorial that was referenced. Thanks for your help! http://leatherworker.net/forum/index.php?showtopic=20358&st=0&p=133982&hl=+bracelet%20+tutorial&fromsearch=1entry133982 Victoria
  10. Hello All, I found this online and wondered how it could be "adjustable" to fit any size wrist. They also list the dye as "adjustable -water-based dye". Any info you could provide regarding: how it's made, how it could be adjustable and where I could find more info. on the type of dye used, would be greatly appreciated by this newbie. Thanks in advance!
  11. Hi, You mentioned that this is the first book listing - will there be others? I'm looking for Hought's The Art of Braiding, revised. As a beginner, I'm also interested in purchasing basic tools. I'll keep an eye open for that sale listing. Thanks! Victoria
  12. Looks great! What a great opportunity for dog lovers to buy local. I love the all over hatching patterned collar - great texture. I also wondered about color selection. When you expand, maybe consider offering classic black and blond leathers. Nail heads in chrome and antiqued brass in addititon to the stamped designs would be great too! The possiblities are endless! Oh, don't forget narrow widths for the smaller pups - like my miniature schnauzer. Thanks for sharing - keep up the great work!
  13. welcome to the site
