  1. Bob, Thanks for the input, a second opinion is always appreciated. Duke
  2. I ran into a guy who has an old Singer 78-1, I was just wondering if anyone at LW has dealt with this machine? If so, would this be a decent investment for lighter leather work? Duke
  3. http://www.ebay.com/itm/Leather-craft-Pricking-Iron-stitch-punch-nippers-4x4mm-/110589676422?pt=LH_DefaultDomain_0&hash=item19bfa88b86#ht_1479wt_1037 Here it is if anyone was curious.
  4. Aaron, This sounds like the one, thanks a million I will check it out.
  5. Hey guys, I happened to see a punch that was not rotary but four prong. This punch was built for hand sewing, but I am not able to find who makes it. Any help on where to find this tool would be great. Thanks, Duke Also, this has a handle set up and action just like the rotary punch to clarify a little more.
  6. DM, Stellar work on the piece all together! Your tooling and design were nicely put together. Thanks for sharing... Duke
  7. Bill, Thanks for the input, I see what you are saying. I am fortunate that I have a bunch of scrap to practice on so I will be doing my trial and error until I perfect it. Duke
  8. I am trying to design a cover for a friend's bible and I am running into a couple of snags. I am hoping that some of you guys would be willing to give me a little advice. He mentioned that he wanted a scene from Iowa farmlands, including a grain bin on a hill with terraces. The Grain bin I can carve, I am just looking for advice on how to effectively carve the Terraces and actually have them look that way. Thanks, Duke
  9. It is a complete shame that people start complaining about these things when they have little to no idea of whats going on. It's almost as bad as that idiot church in kansas protesting soldier's funerals. Everyone gets theirs in the end.
  10. All in all, I feel that this went somewhat well. I screwed the edge coat up but other than that not so bad. This is my first holster in this style, and 4th all together. The symbol comes from an old craftaid from the sixties
  11. Kudos to you, every time I see one of your holsters I basically drool. I really like this set up. I got lots of practicing to do, especially compared to your rigs.
  12. I like both of them, practice makes perfect, lots of practice lol. Keep up the good work.
  13. I started one for my wife and have taken it apart multiple times. The leather needs to extend past the kindle no further than 1/4 inch to be able to attach the cup at the bottom with the middle area trimmed down so you can access the switch and power plug in. The only thing that I have been able to put together for the top is elastic. I have tried thin strips and other methods but no success in this area. I hope this helps and look forward to seeing a pattern or a successful completion of one on here soon. TheDuke
  14. I like this, I am sure he will like it. I really like the design, if you could post the pattern that would be great.
  15. I was talking to a friend the other day and was wondering if anyone had an idea or a pattern for a billfold holster. Any input would be great! Thanks
