    Thank you!

I am an observer type learner and this is just what I need; a no frills, no bs, well presented, and easy to see how-to.

    You're very welcome.

I'm very glad you found this useful.

    Thanks Ann,

I have been wanting to try the mystery braid!! Thank you for doing the vid. great job!!

    You're welcome.

Don't forget to post pictures of your mystery braids!

  2. Sounds like a fine idea to me, Joe.

Some time ago I did a much simpler version of what you've got planned. Let me see if I can find a photo to attach.

    Hi

Well i do dreamcatchers better than working leather so i thought that i would mix the

two together. this is the work form to start. It may not include the smae picture and the leather

will be raged on the edges. My sister in law gave me a pound of sharks teeth that will

be added on the drop down lace with feathers.

I have a belt and some coasters to ruin before i do this. but the thought procees is at

    work.

  3. Thank you Ann. I did not back the bracelets. I simply sewed the edges for looks. My wife wanted pink thread, although I have to admit, it didn't turn out quite as well as I had hoped. Would you recommend backing the bracelet with something? I am super new to this and am open to any and all suggestions.

I associate sewn edges with a backing. You don't have to back it with anything, I was wondering, if you had, what you used. I made a memorial bracelet with a rhinestone pair. Having the prongs uncovered bothered me, so I covered just the prongs with an oval of lining leather.

  4. Huh?

"Looks like Swedish to me. Google translate gives this back when I ask for a Swedish to English translation:

    Hello,

if you tend to look in to eBay from the yards I have right now a lot of magazines / patterns, tools and other things for sale as oxo sent from / in Sweden / Scandinavia. I am selling my duplicates and other leather materials :-)

    (web link munged)

Thanks for looking / / Tina"

I don't know what the Swedish word "oxo" would be. The on line translators aren't helping with it.

  5. Hey, You made it look so easy to make that mystery braid!

Your video with captioning is just Great!

Thank You for sharing this! :thankyou: You should Definitely be proud of your video!

    *bows, grinning*

    You're very welcome!

If you have a sharp blade in your strap cutter, have the strap cutter width set correctly for your current strips, and have the strap cutter firmly clamped (notice I have a piece of scrap leather protecting the wood from the jaws of the vise) it IS easy. *grin* When you first try the jig, it may take a few tries to get one right. A little practice, and Voila! the mystery braid blanks are going zip, zip, zip!

    Great video!

    Thank you very much!
