    You may be interested in looking at the Classic 1911 100th Anniversary Pattern Pack by Will Ghormley. The pack is offered at Tandy Leather and includes 7 different patterns one of which appears to be what you are searching for, not to mention as with all of Wills patterns you can be assured it will be historically correct......

    Sure I can upload a close up for you it will be later this afternoon or early evening. I used a 4 oz. strip insterted between barrel and magazine tube with a d ring attached, the entire strip and ring is attached with a Chicago screw. Go ahead and use the idea that's why I posted it and it will be perfect for your Henry, I have used it on my Marlin Golden 39 as well with no problems......

    Sorry for the delay in response to your comments. I wrapped a strip of leather around the feed tube attached with chicago screw followed with attaching sling to a dee ring with a swivel snap. There was no actual molding of the leather on the guard i cut my pattern tight for both the wrap and butt plate and laced, attached the cover with leather boot laces. I can post more photos if needed.

    Sorry about the knife just edited and attached another pic. I have carried this old knife for many years and it has served me well. I promised G. L. Drew that I would post this for him to compare to his post for his 1700 knife sheath {6 Feb 2012}. Thanks for your comments and the time for looking. Bill

    Used 7 oz. veg tan for both cover and sling, stamped cover with X596 Basketweave and D435 Border. Stamped the sling with X596 Basketweave, D435 Border and U710 Mulefoot between each of the D435 border stamps. Applied 3 coats of Mahogany Eco-Flo Leather and burnished the edges with Gum Tragacanth and beeswax also applied light coat of hand rubbed olive oil as a final finish.

    Plains Indian knife sheath rawhide covered with brain tan lace decorated with original trade beads.
