I've been messing around with leather since I was about 10 years old, but I really got into it when I asked my dad to make me some leather armor for a renaissance festival. He told me to do it myself, so I did and he was impressed. I've made and sold a few sets of bracers, scabbards, sheaths, and other miscellaneous leather goods, but I really have had no training. I enjoy working with leather because of the fact that you can make just about anything with the stuff.
I'm a traditional artist (drawing, sculpture, etc.) and I have recently discovered that I can make my own patterns using 3d modeling tools, which takes some of the guesswork out of making things fit the way that they should.
