I have yet to find the line between customer service and going out of business. I am getting sick of offering refunds because my customers are not intelligent enough to take proper measurements. So I am left with a few options: close the business, no refunds policy, or no custom orders. Could I get some advice from some experienced entrepreneurs?

Does anyone have a template for a dog harness? I just need a template with the calculations for adjusting sizes. I would like a normal harness for going on a walk no special uses. Yes I have tried looking at a normal harnesses and getting the measurements. I just wasn't happy with the outcome and don't know how to figure out sizing for other dogs. I would appreciate any help. Thanks in advance.

Thanks guys. I have been in business only a month and a half. I am getting a lot of hits but only 7 sales. Etsy had about 40 sales which I thought was strange. I use Shopify and their templates.

Alright it let me in. I can not change the footer. It won't even let me change the text. The middle area you are talking about is the way the site has its item collection setup. I really wish I could afford a web designer but I ended up just getting this template. I changed the about me section. Kind of lost what to put in there.

Ferg, Thank you for the response. I am trying to get into my website but my computers acting kind of funny. In regards to the footer were you talking about removing the text "footer" or the entire footer? Not sure how much I can do I pre bought the layout. With the other stuff were you talking about the quick shop thing they have?

Tandy Solid Brass Chicago Screws Not So Solid
aaron61032 replied to aaron61032's topic in Hardware and Accessories
Thanks guys. I was under the wrong impression that Springfield got their stuff from Tandy. I will give those a try. -
The Tandy Chicago screws are just rubbing off and looking nickel plated with no effort at all. My show piece I have had for just about a month now looks like it has shiny nickel hardware. These are for dog collars so they will have some wear and I can't send out a product like this. My dee rings and buckles from strapworks.com are doing just fine it is only the Tandy parts. Anyone know where I can get quality 1/4" brass chicago screws?

Safety Of Leather Products For Pets

Are there any alternatives to chrome tanned latigo that are strong enough for a dog? -
I am pretty unfamiliar with the tanning process but is it safe to use leather for making dog toys? If so what kinds should I stay away from? Worried mainly about chemicals from the tanning process being poisonous.

Anyone Know What Type Of Leather This Is?
aaron61032 replied to aaron61032's topic in All About Leather
Haha yeah thanks. Basically the normal lining you see on dog collars. Not sure if I should put it in that forum. I have deer right now but interested in using lambskin. I like the look of this lining however so just try ing to do my research instead of spending more money first. -
The khaki lining on the inside.

Need Help! I'm New And Have A Lot Of Problems!

Yeah I push the pedal to start. The bottom part wants to move but not the top. I then give it a kick start if you wheel by turning the hand wheel and after a couple turns it takes off on its own and works perfectly. -

Well thinking about it I would just need to sew one layer of latigo to a liner. Hoping not to take this as a loss. I did get the pulley off and working however it needs a bit of help. I have to turn the hand wheel to get it started moving. The problem looks to be from the hand wheel because it is tough to move it. Keep in mind this is a brand new machine. How do I loosen the tension on the wheel? It's been tough to move since I bought it. -
Looking For Supplier-Milan Conchos And Buckles
aaron61032 replied to aaron61032's topic in Suppliers
I've found websites offering all but the peach buckle but most are overpriced. I really think we can say goodbye to peach. My guy who has 2 says that he got them before they were discontinued. I found a website that sells the peach hearts and horseshoes...at $23 a concho! Sawyercreek.com Besides peach, here is the other ones http://www.hobby-time.com/index.php?main_page=index&manufacturers_id=196. -
Need Help! I'm New And Have A Lot Of Problems!

I found out on closer inspection the other layers are put on with rivets. My one design does not fit however. I have an econosew 2060al. I don't understand these numbers but it says these are the lift: 6.5 mm 13 mm knee (the knee pad doesn't do anything) 2 to 5mm (3.2 standard) I think a gear puller might get the pulley off. I think I also need thicker thread than #69. The needle is 22. -

I'm using the latigo belts from tandy. I think it is 5-6oz with a deerskin backing. I can barely fit anything in my machine though without making marks from the piece by the needle whatever it is called. I don't get how some people can fit two pieces of latigo and a backing in their sewing machine. I'm starting to think sewingmachinesplus just ripped me off and gave me the wrong machine for what I needed. -
This is my first attempt at sewing in general. I am getting into the leather dog collar business and wanted to sew the collars as opposed to hand stitching. I ordered a table/motor combo and an Econosew 2060AL from sewingmachinesplus.com and told them I had no idea what I was doing. They gave me 46-69 nylon thread and a clutch motor that goes unbelievably fast. I then purchased a sewquiet 5000 motor. It comes with two pulleys and they said to use the smaller one for slower speeds. I put on the smaller one and started the machine. It made 1 hole then came up with an error message which was described by the company as meaning there was some blockage. I tried the big wheel and the belt does not fit around that one. I since have not been able to take off the big wheel because it is stuck on the motor and will not come off. I am past my budget, behind schedule, and have no clue how to fix this situation.

Looking For Supplier-Milan Conchos And Buckles

I found one who works through email but he only has 3 of the peach available. Still have to get a price from him. Wonder where he is getting his supply from. Tandy still sells the conchos but have taken the buckles out of their inventory. I found the pink/blue buckles elsewhere but they are very overpriced. I even emailed conchos.com and they can't get them. -
I need a supplier for Milan heart and horshoe conchos with the buckle set in blue, pink, and peach. The peach is especially hard to find. Can't find what I'm looking for so seeing if you all knew a good supplier.

I got a decent color on the blue last night. I ran a wool dauber across the leather in lines then picked up excess. I will see how well it held in tonight. I'm not sure what abuse it can take because the stain wasn't rubbed in st all. I got a decent color on the blue last night. I ran a wool dauber across the leather in lines then picked up excess. I am looking for instructions on how to achieve what I am looking for. My product will be dog collars so they will take some abuse. I would like the coloring to be long lasting and not fade. I will be stamping the leather with alphabet stamps and would like the leather dyed and the letters to be noticeable. I would also like a range of choices in color such as pink, orange, etc. and a good way to finish it. Please recommend products and break down the process of using them.
