I have been trying to do some petal lifting on flowers, but they are not coming out the way I would like. I have two petal lifting tools but when I use them I mar the leather. and I am not getting the proper penitration of the leather to get the effect I would like to have. Can any one help or send me in the right direction.... Thanks Larry

This holster is a little different as the belt drop portion of the holster is carved in addition to the holater itself.

Thanks for the nice words Don, yes it is a shame that the carving gets covered by the strap, but if you want to keep your spurs on that is the way it must be. Ha Ha The silver ornimentation comes from California from Wage Silver.

These straps are made for the show ring.

These straps were done for the Hollywood Stuntman,s Hall of Fame. That is their logo on the back of the straps. The hand edge whip stiching takes a long time....Larry

Thanks for your nice words. I am here in Oley Pa and really like doing my spur straps. One day I would like to take some lessons in leather work, I do it my self and do not know if it is good or bad work.

I try not to be like all the rest when it comes to the design of the spur strap. I also use the Bohlin type of construction that hides the spur button and allows you to carve the billet strap. I get inspired by the things around me and ask myself this question. "Would someone like this design enough to buy a set of spur straps and if the awnser is yes I allow the business part of me to combine with the artistic talent I have and I make it. If the awnser is no I put it on the back burner.
