8 strand square buffalo rawhide and 3 pattern chrome tan nosebutton, probably shouldnt have gone as wild on the nose and tried to keep it straighter but as a whole im pretty proud of this one

hey all, i'm getting ready to start braiding on some bosalitas and i am wanting to do a center strung one, i have seen the nose button on them done 2 different ways one using 2 separate buttons with your gap in the center or the other that is braided the same as a normal nosebutton but with 2 foundation knots in the center that your tie rides in between i would like your opinions on which way would be the best to do it, Thanks in advance Bryce

the goat was pretty fun to use cut it dry split off the thickest parts and just rubbed some saddle soap on it to braid it, thanks for all the compliments guys

yeah that missed pass bugs me more the more i look at it i think im gonna cut the button off and redo it

just finished the button work on one side of my first set of reins rein body is latigo and the buttons are latigo and goat rawhide missed the last pass on my interweve covering where i tied in my eye but my buttons get better as you go up the rein, hoping to have some really nice ones by the time i finish.

i just made a batch using 2 cups of melted tallow, a bar of grated glycerine soap and a bar of grated ivory soap, seemed to work pretty well hope this helps Bryce

my first bosal 8 strand 3/8ths latigo body over a braided rawhide core with rawhide nose button and heel knot.

you might braid up some wild rag slides quick and easy to make and you can experiment with lots of different buttons while your at it

whas size belting did you use for the tail of the reins

where do you buy your belting at?
