Johnathan my submission has the E249 for the hammer. There it is with acrylic paint over it. Gives that nice rocky texture.

Didnt go for dried since it is pooling due to dripping off hammer

So here is my fully finished submission as well as a perfect example of how paint in my hands absolutely ruins a good carve and tooled piece of leather. This is why all my projects are usually 1 single color.... However here it is. Did not apply a finish to it yet but will probably put acrylic resolene on it then nail it to the workshop wall just because.... So yea...enjoy.... -Chris

And here is the end image of my challenge entry (still need to dye and paint it though). DoubleC watched me the entire time I did this on the livestream. From start to finish it took about 2 hours and I couldnt be too much happier. And yes...the words are carved in with a ballpoint pen lol. They are the one area that would make me happier but oh well. If I was to livestream the tooling and carving would anyone want to watch?

Did a redraw of Mjolnir on tracing paper (probably should have just traced the pic but redrew it instead) so i can do it on leather. The one on the right is the now finalized image I will be doing compared to the original on the left.

that would be the blood dripping off the hammer. I thought about it and said yknow...getting hit with the hammer of Thor there would most definitely be blood so why not lol.

At the request of C and Rae I figured why not try something fun eh? I need to fix the lettering a bit and possibly angle the hammer but hey considering my drawing skills are garbage (literally had to push them to their limit for this and all i had was pen) I think it will look great on leather and in color. Opinions?

So I have the pattern to make a vest but I have no idea where to begin. Id love to hand tool a large phoenix on the back of the vest but I don't know if I can use veg tanned leather for a vest, and if I do would it even be comfortable? Also I can't afford a sewing machine (the one I have is yet untested on leather and is like a day older than dirt). So how would I go about hand sewing this? Any hdlp would be greatly appreciated. -Chris

Hello. Newbie here from Niagara Falls. Been leatherworking for a few months with a partner of mine. Got our first craft show in april. Right now we have done belts, flasks,wallets, keychains and bracelets, mostly using kits. I hope to expand my knowledge on all things leather and I'm glad I'm here.
