Welcome and enjoy the group, I am a newbie also. I heard a long time ago that you can freeze the hides but they must be well protected against freezer burning. If you place them in plastic wrap be sure to wrap it again in aaluminum foil. Plastic allows air through but the aluminum doesn't. Bob

Hey everyone, I just finished carving what will be my new hip quiver after I finish the rest of the work. I am not happy with the way the belly scales turned out but I am hoping to disguise the rough edges with the beveler and modeling spoon. Any and all comments are appreciated. Thanks, Bob

Hey Everyone I wanted to introduce myself as a new member. I have been on here about a week and truly enjoy the work I am seeing from other artists. I have been serious about leather work for about a year and now it has become my sanity after work at night. I think I will be learning for the rest of my life, just when I feel comfortable doing something a new way pops up to chalenge me.
