Well that's a great idea, hadn't really thought of that but you could use the top as a coaster and keep sugar cubes in the cup for your tea. God knows I need plenty of practice while I am trying to figure things out.
Bill:
Your uninvited criticism is a little harsh. I can certainly understand why your stuck! It would appear your very focused on technical aspects of this simple project. Wouldn't I have posted in the "criticize my work" section. Please be open to the possibility that this project is not intended for what you have pigeon-holed it for. Now that your assumptions for its purpose are wrong please accept the intention of this item. This is nothing more or less than a simple cover or handle for a glass burnisher. It is for personal use and the form and function is nothing more than just that. Notice that there is no stamping, coloring or edge finishing, very good, functionality only was the expectation here! Thanks for your welcome to the web site, I have really only been doing leather since May-June and am on a steep learning curve as well as a limited budget, as most, and trying make projects with small array of tools. I have been sifting through the leather worker web site for a time now and find a theme where many encourage to post pictures of work they have done. So, I took the risk of doing so and your comments are making me think, as a new member, about posting any more work.
