New To Tooling. Let Me Know What You Think
macdaddytoolin replied to FM5332FF's topic in Figure Carving
your tooling is very choppy... try to hit the tool like a machine gun or a jack hammer it should be about 50 percent overlap of the last strike you hit that will make it appear smooth... and don't worry you can always do it over and over again on the same line and it won't hurt nothing -
remember to polish the swivel knife after you sharpen it or hone it.. IT IS A MUST take some jewelers rough the spread on the back piece of leather... then drag in one way the polish will build up on the knife and that is when you know you're doing it right

SIIICCCCKKKK How do I get my ass on a seat like that love the work hollla -
wow dude sweet here's the deal if you matt around the picture it will make it pop like a mo-fo it will bring the picture out alot more and around the picture the beveling is choppy go over it a couple times if need be but when your tooling use a bigger beveler or between blows of the mallet the hits are too wide.. don't be afraid to use a hair blade on the hair dude that's sweet i'm working on getting as good as you on faces these little things will make your work look ballin' peace out playa

i'd matt down her neck a little so it doesn't look like her neck is sticking as far out as her cheeks but I like the left but the right needs a little more finesse it looks a little choppy but i like it good work keep working i'm working on these things myself
