  1. Thanks guys, The dye is really pretty easy to accomplish. Once you get it, its easy to repeat.
  2. Thanks Guys, Tramps....The dye pattern is made using a sponge, just dabbing around until you get the look you want. Then I blend everything using an airbrush. The base color is saddle tan and the darker is dark brown. The process works with other color combos too.
  3. For Christmas this year my brother got me a Leatherman Wave. This was very uncharacteristic for him and will be something I will always cherish. With that said, I love it, but the case left a lot to be desired. A simple nylon pouch, sooooooooo that had to go. I seen a YouTube video by Leodis Leather and got inspired, if you are new to leather craft you should check him out. His videos are great and he only asks for donations. I have paid for videos that weren't anywhere as informative. (I am not affiliated with him.....except for leaving a donation )Anyway here is what I ended up with.....As always Thanks for looking
  4. Thank you guys, its always nice to hear positive comments. Especially from other leather workers.
  5. Im sure you have seen plenty of holsters, but I thought I would share.
  6. Jess, I bought a Rabbit laser....before shipping, installation and training it was $6,400.00 for the model I got. So far they have been nothing but helpful from the beginning. I can't say enough good things about everyone there.
  7. Just beautiful! Thats all I can say....ART!
  8. When my daughter seen my macbook case, she wanted me to make her an iPad case. She is an english major, this has something to do with literature...... I don't know I just do what she tells me
  9. Thats true, I enjoy the design side of leather crafting. When I do the tooling its harder to get whats in my head out in the leather, but I guess thats true for most people. I got the laser to cut out patterns for my holsters. I wasn't even thinking about the engraving side of it. Now it has become a big part of my business and one of the things that sets me apart from the crowd.
  10. Thanks guys! Sometimes I feel like I am cheating. I just put it in the laser and it cuts it out and engraves it. All i do is sew it up and make the patterns. I am trying to look at like an art of a different kind......all of these guys do beautiful work tooling leather...well I can't do that but, I can work in adobe AI
  11. Thank you for the kind words. I guess i should have said something, it is laser engraved.
  12. Sometimes simple just works, to me, this just works. I got a Macbook Air, naturally it needed a case
  13. I don’t know which I prefer, but I do know both of them are beautiful. Nice work!
