A couple years ago I started selling a few items on Etsy and through word of mouth. That's been pretty interesting and has made me take things, like a quality and reproducible product, a lot more seriously. I've also been trying to find and use US manufacturers for leather, thread, hardware, tools, etc. After all, now that I'm an American manufacturer, I want to support other outfits that are too!

In real life I'm a flight planner for an aerial mapping company here in Portland, OR. Lots of computers and data. It's a nice change to work with something tangible and physical. I like the aerial work, but sometimes it just feels better to cut some leather and run a line of stitching.
