    Base leather is 6/7 oz horse, rolled material is 1/2 oz pig. I do intend to skive it thinner at the edge which is being rolled. Finished product will be a set of magazine pouches. I was originally planning on doing the rolled edge flat and introducing the bends afterward, but I think that would stress the stitches in the rolled edge too much.

    I'm trying to wrap my head around a technique I've used in the past without going around a corner - but this time I want to round that corner as well. Does anyone have any tips for how to roll an edge and turn a corner at the same time?

    Red Cent, Do you wrap the leather around all three pegs, or what? I need to do something to keep my cuts straight.

    I wanted to tool the mag pouches, but the customer (who is a co-worker) did not want them tooled. I think he's intending on wearing the mag pouches without the belt occasionally. Yes, the grip safety is engaged when the retention strap is tight.

    Thanks! I probably should have put the snap about 3/8" higher on the holster. That would have put the snap right on the trigger guard rather than in front of it. The holster is lined, so the snap back wouldn't have marred the plastic. Thanks for the comments!

    I would agree with you that it is a nuisance! Thanks for the advice, I'll make the next one as you suggest, for sure.

    I wet the rawhide and formed it over a mallet (I don't have access to the gun I'm making the holster for, unfortunately) which should be larger than the cylinder. With the lining leather taking up some more of the space inside the holster I oversized the outside by 1/4" each direction.     I'm making a holster for a coworker that has a rawhide stiffener wrapped around the cylinder. How should that be installed in the holster? I'm thinking of sandwiching it between a lining leather and the main holster leather, contact cementing it in place.
