  2. Howdy folks!

It's been a long time since my last post, I've been really busy, but finally I found some time to show you some of the gunbelts rigs that I've made troughout these months.

I've made a SASS rig, straight draw + cross draw, a Mexican Loop holster, a Knife Sheath.

The black one is an interesting one, it's a combination of buscadero and ranger style gunbelt able to fit the same holster that comes with a round loop strap and a classic buckle strap.

The last two pics are Buscadero Gunbelts with a fast draw holster and a Cheyenne Holster.

I would like to thank once again, Jim Simmons for his great pattern and his advices, without his help I wouldn't be able to achieve these skills.

Anyone knows how is he? It's been a long time since Jim's last post, I hope is doing well.

    Thanks for watching!

  4. Howdy folks

As the title topic says I am planning to make for myself an Eastwood rig, I've ordered, from Black river laser, the gunfighting sitching template, so I'm pretty set up on making the belt itself. My main concern is to make the holster, if just needs a welt or a filler along the main seam, also I never made rough out gunleather, any hint? If someone feels to share a pattern, I am also willing to pay for a digital pattern.

Any help is highly appreciated !

  5. Howdy folks,

Hell on Wheels, one of my favourite TV Series so far, has just began for the 5th and final season, so today I was trying to make, the holster pattern of the main protagonist, Cullen Bohannon, former Confederate Officer, looking for vengeance and ended up as a Railroad man, he used to carry a brass framed 1860 Colt Army in the first two seasons, now he has switched to a 1858 Remington.

It's basically a mexican doble loop holster, with a large teardrop as backskirt.

The belt it's pretty straight forward,it's a 1 3/4 inch belt and the buckle is an heavy duty roller buckle from Tandy.

I've tried to distress the leather on the holster to make it a little bit aged according to the TV show.

Well, tell me guys what do you think, suggestions and tips are welcome for future improvements.

    Cheers from Italy

  6. Here's a few tips for you johnwayne97, the belt is a 1 3/4 wide, with an heavy duty roller buckle, I've punched 11 holes, (one every inch) from the first hole to the end is roughy 14 inches of overlenght to tuckle in (like Bohannon wears it on the show).

Regarding the holster, that I agree in the show looks pretty aged/distressed, you can print, trace on posterboard and then edit the California Slim Jim patterns posted in the gun holster holster section, then add a teardrop.

I don't have a scanner device to scan my pattern, otherwise I'll post it.

Hope it helps, I think it's a fun and easy project for a beginner. Also check this thred out, it's all about Bohannon's costume! http://www.therpf.com/showthread.php?t=172601
