  8. Hello again, I've seen several holsters that use a type of plastic snap instead of a brass or nickel snap. It appears that the rest of the snap is metal, however the actual back piece is either made of plastic or has a plastic sleeve. This type is used where the metal from the snap touches any metal part of the weapon. Can any one tell me where to find this? Sincerely, Daniel
  9. Art, thanks for the info. That's exactly what I was looking for. I have a Boss now, and I've been looking to upgrade to the Toro 3000, but I first wanted to check into the Puritan. Thanks again. Daniel
  10. Steve thanks for the information. It sounds like overall it's a great machine, the no bobbin winding could delelete a lot of down time. I'm just curious if any one has ever used one of these to make a holster, and how what's better between a chain stitch, or lock stitch. thanks again Daniel..
  11. I'm considering a puritan sewing machine, the same type that was used in how it's made to make a football, do any of you have one, or has used one? I have a tippmann at this time and it's been good so far, but the puritan has caught my attention, any comments would be greatly appreciated. Thanks Daniel.

  14. Hello everyone, I need help finding this type of metal backing that's used as re-enforcement for holsters. I'd like to also find the snaps at the ends that are used to hold the metal in place. Any information will help greatly, Thank you, sincerely Daniel.
  15. Adding to this topic, can any one explain the liabilities of holster making? I've been doing leather work for approximately one year, 6 months ago I found this website, which I can't stop reading since. I finally moved on to holster making. Since my first holster 3 weeks ago, my friends have constantly bugged me to make one for them. I'm hesitant to make anything for any one because I don't know how liable I am with my products. Again, if any one can explain it to me, it would be great.
