the cool lady at el paso tandy gave me a killer deal on some double shoulders, so i took the time to make the most of the opportunity and am creating one of every bag pattern i have collected over the years. the closures are all custom too. still have 5 types on the bench, though heres 2/3s of the project....best wishes.....b

Hi you are welcome for the pix, i like them too....leather is amazingly waterproof in some configurations thats for sure, also sewing leather rounds onto ends of leather tubes has made some waterproof cup-like containers that are hard to believe....it is the original plastic...my casting setup is here: http://gallagherslapidarybook.blogspot.com/2013/01/build-charcoal-fueled-metal-casting.html i use the delft sand casting process, and silver is better than copper when casting things like this, copper/bronze melt temp is way up there....b

These are very interesting and nice. I have been hired to do custom head pieces in the past, armor-like, for paintball people, this gives me good ideas, thanks very much....b

I need heavy chrome tan and veg tanned tooling leather 8-10 oz, can use 4-6 oz, and calf skin too, in pieces or whole hides, can do piece work to pay or trade anything here: luxefaire.com...thank you in advance, I make wallets, bags, holsters and specialty cases, but can do just about anything required. Will take pay in leathers. Thanks again....b

Someone sent me these pictures a long time ago, nice to have a place for them, this is a favorite subject of mine....this bottle was made in Victorian England and brought a fairly high price to its owner around 2005 or so....the copper rivets are what make it water tight and they are amazing fasteners, I love to use them and were it not for special citrcumstances I would use them exclusively, I even cast my own out of copper on occasion.......b

Established Made In Usa Brand Looking For Handsewn Wallet Maker
luxefaire replied to cordovan's topic in Help Wanted
I do a lot of handsewn wallets, in fact thats all I do in wallets, I like the double loop calf skin lace stitch for the edge but can use nylon that looks like hemp, or black nylon thread, the parts are all cut by hand from custom patterns, and tooling or exotics laminate or painting possible too. Trying to find pictures of some past billfold work, if you are interested please let me know. -
Looking For An Artisan To Re-Create A Shoulder Bag For Me!
luxefaire replied to Spellweaver's topic in Help Wanted
You can contact me about this if you are still in need.....b -
I do custom quivers on request, here are three different ones from the past. The first pix are all of the same quiver showing details, even wet glue...the last pix is a pair I made for a man and his son. I get vital measurements from the customer in writing, make the pattern in heavy paper, and do it. bottoms are wood with leather laminated either side, all leather used is 8-10 English Bridle sides or double shoulders. Hammered holes punched, and I cut my own lace. These are my original designs. Would the mod please remove the post before this because the pictures would not load thank you.....b
