  1. Sorry for the crappy phone pics, but it's all I had
  2. I use only USPS Priority Mail. I sometimes use their free packaging but normally use my own boxes with their tape and labeling (free also BTW) for WAY cheaper than the flat rate boxes. Our items typically don't weigh much, so the postage for actual weight in your own box is considerably less. And you still get all the Priority Mail perks like 2 day the guarantee, etc.
  3. Thanks for the compliments. It's wearing VERY WELL. And I drew up the patterns myself
  4. Made a double mag pouch And here's the whole set This rig is so comfortable and NO SQUEAKS (yet). I love it so far
  5. These were stitched with a Boss and the pigskin seems to hold up well so far. I've got one a couple years old that does great. Took a little longer to break in and draw well from, but I still use it when carrying my Taurus .45
  6. Finished the gun belt up today. 2 layers of 6/7 oz glued and stitched with a stiffener inside.
  7. Thanks Paul, And Thor, those backgrounders are the E294 series from craftool
  8. Thanks Thor447. It's a tandy backgrounder set I got a few years back. I'll get the #s when I get home from the FD in the morning.
  9. My favorite so far. Black pancake with brown lizard (I think) overlay and pigskin lining. It's SO smooth and snaps right in. Gotta make a new gun belt now! Another I made to match my gun belt, Burgundy bridle leather with stamped overlay. This will be my EDC rig And one I made yesterday for my wife as her EDC. It's by no means perfect and has allowed me to adjust my template for future sub-compact rigs. She loved it as her Valentine's Day gift this morning My first 1911 prototype with a little DTOM flair. This has WAY too much cant for me and was made in haste from scrap. But it served it purpose. Kind of embarased to even show it.
  10. Yes, except I cut out the area for the patch before gluing and sewing it to the pigskin
  11. No the pigskin is completely hidden inside 2 pieces of veg tan and can't be seen. Its the same size as the veg tan pieces. The white stitch around the patch goes through the outer veg tan and the pigskin but not through the inner veg tan. Only the stitching around the outer edge of the back piece goes through both outer and inner pieces with the pigskin sandwiched in between
  12. Thanks, The patch is glued and stitched to a thin piece of pigskin with black thread which is then sewn to the outer frame piece with white thread. The shoulder straps are then sewn between the outer piece and inner piece. And yes, the blue around the letters is done with a very small brush and a steady hand. No way around it. The blue anchor straps on the ends and the belt keepers are stained with blue eco flo all-in-one. These are made for bunker pants used in firefighting
  13. I actually inlaid a patch on the back piece instead of tooling it to see how it'll work. I've got an order for 14 sets going to NJ using their FD shoulder patch sewn in. Turned out pretty cool. Donated this set to a guy on my truck who's raising money to fund his non-profit organization called 24000.org which buys mosquito nets for families in Uganda and helps dig fresh water wells there every summer. I'm giving them away once the NCAA tournament is over
