  1. I have 2 machines for sale, local pickup only. Here's the details! Local pickup only- I'm in Greenpoint, Brooklyn, NY. $1500 - Highlead Sewing Machine I'm selling my brand new Highlead industrial sewing machine. Bought in December but I'm moving and need to sell it. It is in excellent, brand new condition. On par with Juki machines but half the price. I've always used Juki machines and I am highly impressed by this brand- much better than Consew. Very smooth sewing, no skipped stitches. It has a backstitch function and a heavy duty motor. Takes B-69 thread. Great for everything from denim to 7/8 oz leather at the thickest. Comes with bobbins. Check out their website: http://www.highlead.co.uk ------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- $2,000 Clicker Machine I'm selling my Tippmann Boss that is only a few years old and barely used. It has a minor leak in the back that I've been told is easily fixed- I can recommend a guy to help with this. Aside from that it is in superb condition. I will include 2 used cutting boards with it as well. I can do local pickup only and you will need a small forklift or many very strong helpers- it is HEAVY. 3. Hi I have tons of beautiful alligator tails, size of approximately 25" long and 2-3" at the widest part. The skins vary slightly in size. They are leftover from a project. They come in black, chocolate brown, off white, light blue and medium grey. I'll sell them at $20/pc. or I'd love to sell them in bulk. Email me Rachael@heavyleathernyc.com Thank you!
  4. O.k, so I'm told that these tails go for $12-$15 each. I'll sell them in bundles of 10 for $100. Let me know if you guys/gals are interested. Rachael@heavyleathernyc.com. I have them in 5 colors- black, chocolate brown, eggshell, light blue and grey. Thanks!
  5. Yes I am definitely selling them. I'm thinking in bundles of 10. Not sure of the price, I'm hoping I can get some good advise here or else I'm going to hit the leather stores early next week for suggestions. You can all either watch the thread or email me Rachael@heavyleathernyc.com. Thank you!
  6. I have hundreds of skins of small/baby alligator or crocodile, I am not sure which. They were left over from an old project and I'm hoping someone can help me figure out exactly what I own and how much it is worth and where is the best outlet to sell them. I have 5 different colors. They vary in size but are all approx. 25" long and 2-3" at the widest part. Thanks!
  7. I make guitar straps and I just got in a large hide of 5 oz veg tan. I've been cutting it out and backing it with suede, then sewing the 2 pieces together. The leather twists after sewn and won't lie flat. Is this due to bad sewing tension, bad suede application or is there a grain in the leather that I need to work with? I am used to working with the petite tooling calf leather, which is much thinner. Can anyone help me out? Thanks!!!! -R
  8. Hi You seem pretty knowledgeable about heavy duty machines. I make guitar straps out of 5-6 oz cowhide. I need to be able to sew through suede+leather combo. I also work with bridle leather and veg-tan. Are there any machines you would recommend? I was thinking about buying a juki, I am hoping to spend under $2,000.00. Thanks so much! -Rachael
