  1. i made this for a lady one day. she wanted it for her dad to set on the night stand next to his bed to put his glasses in. it looks ok, but would have been much better looking with tooling. unfortunately, she wanted dirt cheap and wouldn't pay for tooling. after we had agreed on a price she tried to get me to add tooling for free. nice lady, but i had to tell her if all she wanted was cheap she needed to go to wal mart.
  2. wow. super nice. makes me jealous.
  3. live and learn. i'da never thought of that. guess thats why i visit here!
  4. i gotta learn how to do that.
  5. if it's for support, i'd make it a bit smaller so there's a bit of adjustment. when more wrist support is needed it could be tightened that way. (said by one prone to use one while tooling at events for people to see. i get lots of comments because mine i call a dragon cuff and tell stories about. shameless marketing... )
  6. i understand where you're coming from... side note: if i create a molded holster (which i have considered) it will of necessity look an awful lot like other holsters. i won't look at anyone else's holster before i do make one though. i carried for years as a cop and know what i want from one. i would simply create one that did what i wanted. if it wound up looking like yours i would hope you took it as a compliment, cause i sure wouldn't be trying to copy you.
  7. nice work. here's a bible i did a while back
  8. hmm. i've been using bag stiffener from tandy's for my patterns. lasts a long time and it's just a matter of tracing around it. i also use the carbon paper to transfer the pattern to the bag stiffener.
