Is anyone willing to email me a copy of Tandy's Passport cover pattern. The one that looks like a compass? I purchased the kit a while ago, was divorced and now I can't seem to find the pattern, but I do have the kit. Thanks, Kris

Take a look at www.squareup.com You have to have a smartphone for it to work. I haven't tried it personally, but it got good reviews. I am thinking about using it for craftshows. I wonder if anyone else has tried it before. 2.75% per swipe and no monthly fees is what is advertised on their website. There was a big write up on it someplace, but i can't seem to find it. Maybe consumers reports or some other legit tech website. Kris

does anyone have a manual for this that they could copy & email or mail to me. I would be willing to pay for it. This is my 1st industial machine and need some instructions on cleaning, threading etc. I bought it to make badge backers and some other misc. leather items, probably some K-9 equipment too. Thanks in advance, Kris

Everybody has been very helpful so far. But I have yet another question. Does anyone have any expierience with the JUKI DU-1181N or DDL-8700L? I will be sewing up to layers 8/9oz and 1 layer 5/6 or 2 layers 10/11 oz leather. I like the Idea of both the walking foot & bottom feed on the DU-1181N. DDL-8700L JUKI 1181n Thanks, Kris

All, thanks for your help. I guess I'll keep hunting the auction/used market for that $200 steal someplace.

Does anyone have any expireince with this machine? I want use it for general tooling leather sewing and 3-4 layers of 7/8 oz leather. I like the Idea that it is hand operated (but can upgrade to electric), that would let me control the speed and positioning a bit better. Any thoughts?

Check with Rev's Armour Werx 713-825-4754 They have a model 43-4 for about $700 delivered. They have a website but I can't remember what it is. Kris

What machine to you use to sew leather?
speedbuggy replied to mooshi's topic in Leather Sewing Machines
What you described is kinda what I'm looking to do with a machince. Also to sew together 1 7/8oz + 4-6oz + pigskin lining and a piece of clear heavy shower curtain type vynle. Thanks, Kris -
Does anyone have any experience with the harbor freight industrial sewing machines? I was thinking for a beginner that doesn't have a lot of money it might be worth it. Thanks, Kris
