About Me
Originally from Siberia, Russia. Have lived in Ecuador, Argentina, Guatemala (lived aboard a sailboat for 7 years) and now back to Siberia. In 2016 I bought a tiny Chi puppy, Bonny, who needed a harness and a carrier (there was nothing available that'd fit this little creature) and I decided to make it all myself. I enjoyed the process so much that I bought a bigger sewing machine and got more fabrics at the local thrift store and made more bags. And people started telling me that I had to sell them. Well, I always liked bags, canvas and leather since I was little but never thought about actually making stuff myself.
I've been a graphic designer since 1998, but I was so excited about creating things for real life - things that you can touch and use. Two years later I ended up with the boat full of fabrics and canvas and leather, two sewing machines (one heavy duty) and boatloads of hardware and tools. And every time there's the same story when I make a new bag, I never want to sell it, but I can't keep them all for myself because there is just so many bags a human being can own.
I can say I started seriously working with leather since 2018, and now I prefer to hand stitch everything instead of trusting the machine. I can do this all day long.
In 2020 I have become a pattern designer and doing it full time now.
