I work in IT security.  Leatherworking started off with a need for a sheath for my ax at the beginning of covid.  When I finished that, my wife asked if I would make her a belt.  It became a hobby, that has since become a side hustle.  I am selling potholders and coasters on Etsy, and am branching out into custom work - motorcycle seats, rifle slings, purses, etc.  The vast majority of my business is via word of mouth at this point, but, I hope to grow into a decent retirement income.
