    nice. this is 6061 aluminum.
  2. made loop stick as seen in J.H. Leather video: amazing leatherworking skills on display in her videos! it is 1"x1/2". taper is 8" long. 3/16" to 1/2". cut piece on table saw, tapered on mill & rounded edges on router table with 1/32" radius round ov
  3. nice to have extra feed dogs to experiment on.
  4. bought a Towa tension gauge. think it was more for embroidery or something. gave it away. just go by feel now.
  5. https://www.thethreadexchange.com/miva/merchant.mvc?Screen=CTGY&Store_Code=TTE&Category_Code=sewing-machine-bobbin-style-info some bobbin info
  6. the underside. had to mill the standoffs to get the right height & levelness.
  7. made one out of 304 stainless. recommend buying one from Patrick1. this was a total PITA.
  8. thanks for coming up with this great mod! may put some reference marks on the visible side some day.
  9. made a @RockyAussie adjusting nut. the detent ball is a bastard to get back in. used small tweezers & a toothpick to push it back in its home.
  10. no, it was a very snug fit on the stock Cobra bobbin. fyi, it was 600 revolutions to fill bobbin with #277 Amann.
  11. it is one like this: https://www.ebay.com/itm/326258473298?_skw=bobbin+winder&itmmeta=01JAQKF50DSB1BMDAB33K5AE6W&hash=item4bf6853952:g:fjEAAOSwEFpmMF~R&itmprp=enc%3AAQAJAAAA0HoV3kP08IDx%2BKZ9MfhVJKmiOV2Dtfen4bbj%2FZEM989stGDqKzt%2F63vyM8AQSD137QgkXEXH3OqMFlVG815a71hIPxCrZHtGvCL3ZbRivUKq23UVr48lzUoBvGfZO6I0RQTM5C%2FIzQosRW%2BBTzgZGcPjcRTek%2BN71NkIQFFurFUguXwW0ELkykRXKTwE2MiOBnN1UqBVPi0Ib4w%2Bn6160tFDoRUlEqynWUCYxIVie5k5bH%2B7YAweitpsR4QckI5TCkdkc0kNhPvDx9MhdqFowik%3D|tkp%3ABk9SR6bQvPPVZA made a frame out of aluminum to hold the tensioner the same distance from spool as the one on the Cobra. tensioner was off the winder that came with my 206RB5.
  12. nothing. this is fast. chronic tinkerer.
  13. this cheapo winder counts the number of revolutions. got it on ebay. https://drive.google.com/file/d/1Qb2IGX69TvLqn1IBySZpNl7K3bSRVlO6/view?usp=sharing
