I have a query regarding the general guidelines for working with specific weight yarns on needles. I have a gauge for the needle size that also indicates the proper weight of yarn to use with those needles. What if you had larger or smaller needles, I wonder? For instance, I have a pattern that calls for size 8 needles, but my light-weight yarn suggests using a size 5 or 6. If I use heavier needles and lighter yarn, how will it affect the stitch? What if I used smaller needles and thicker weight yarn instead?

same issue with me. We bought a leather reclining sofa from this page, it's in brilliant condition but the only problem is when we got it home we noticed a slightly smokey smell on the leather. It's not really bad though, you can only smell it if you put your nose right up to it but obviously id like to try and remove it. The mrs put some baking soda on it today, hasn't made much of a difference either. Is there anything we can buy? don't really want to put anything harsh on it for obvious reasons.

I am using a cowboy sewing machine and am satisfied with it. but now I need a sewing table for cutting. Anyone who has personal experience please suggest to me one of these.
