I bought a Consew 226R clone last year and it came with one bobbin that measures about 31/32mm in diameter and 14mm in height. I would really like to buy some more bobbins for different colours but I can't find this style of bobbin anywhere. I'm based in Europe and would like to buy them online. Is this a particularly unusual size or am I just looking in the wrong places? Thanks in advance for your help!

Just curious - after looking online in Australia and only finding Pearson bobbins for sale ex Canada at about $35 USD each plus post and customs duty & gst, I figured I'd measure the only one we have, and make myself some spares- two for black and two for white thread. Has anyone else tried to make their own? I did them in brass - turned down to 14.2 mm diameter and drilled a 1/8" hole, and silver-soldered the ends on to some 1/8" bronze shaft/rod that I had. They're not overly classy to look at but they should be functional. I still have to drill a tiny hole for starting winding on. Have a nice day, Folks!

Hello, I am new to this forum, although I read a lot of postings and found some very helpful information. I searched and could not find anyone with my problem. I bought a Cobra Class 4 package a few years ago and it was the BEST decision of my life. I have had nothing but joy from running this machine. I had been buying generic 441 bobbins that fit great in the machine that were about 28.5 mm long. Now it seems all of the generic 441 bobbins that I used to buy on Ebay are 30mm+ long. They are too long to fit in the bobbin case and be able to shut it closed. I was told that the Juki 441 generic bobbins are 30mm long and I was just lucky to get shorter ones. I am on a tight budget and though $4 for a bobbin won't break the bank, $19+ for shipping does. I use a lot of different colors of thread, so I use a lot of bobbins. Has anyone else experienced this problem with the bobbins being 30mm long not fitting in your 441 clone?

Does anyone have a source for Type I prewound bobbins for a Singer 29K-60? Searching with no luck what so ever. The last ones that I had and really like are the ATCO I (CS-69). They were gifted to me but running out and need more! Thank YOU!!!

When winding bobbins the thread off the cone results in a tangled twisted mess, even if I force the cone to unwind from the side like a spool. I made a separate bobbin winder powered with a sewing machine motor, but it works just like the stock winder. The thread is Nylon - Size 138 - Beige #2 (Fil-Tec #111) - Monocord - Nominal 16 Oz Spool - 2950 Yards
