About this machine: Compatible with most Kingsley accessories This particular model was designed with luggage in mind, so it has a 9 1/2" deep throat. It is also mounted on rails so it can slide out if you need to reach deeper into something. The machine itself weighs around 30 lbs Everything works; ram, thermometer, heating element. (uses flat mica strip type heater) The dial might have a few dead spots like most of these older machines, I just plug it into a wattmeter so I can see if it's not making contact and move it a little bit. Maybe you could open it up and clean it? I haven't tried. It looks like a carbon contact that slides on a resistive perimeter to vary the resistance. Not sure what the technical term is Note: the handle was replaced with a screw driver, it works just as well (if not better, it's much quieter). Locking pin in the back (which allows it to slide forward off the base) was replaced, so it jiggles a little bit. Includes: - The machine it self - 4 types of foil (Matte Gold, Shiny Gold, Silver and Brown) - Single Line Type Adapter (you will need to get a type holder as well) - Kingsley Magazine / Brochure - Vintage Kingsley "Small Parts" Box (broken hinge) Before you can use it you'll need a type kit, type holders and I would recommend a ruler guide. $250, Local pickup in Middle Island, NY or Shipping estimates after the cost of making a wooden box for it: - To LA, California: $100 - To Dallas, Texas: $90 - To Portland, Maine: $60 - To Alaska or Hawaii: Don't even think about it I'd ship it FedEx Ground or Home Delivery Photos:

Hi, ANY HELP WILL BE APPRECIATED. I have purchased a Kwikprint Model #55 and have come across a very reasonably priced Kingsley type/font set. Does anyone know if Kingsley type fits the Kwikprint. Can't seem to find anything specific about this through my research. Cheers,

Hi, I'm new to this forum & looking for advice / recommendations re: machines to blind emboss leather products. I'm launching an online business specializing in personalized leather items for baby & children. I won't be using foil as it's unsafe for baby chewing etc. One of the products in our collection is a leather pacifier/dummy strap which i want to personalize with a blind embossing of baby's name or initials. The leather I'll be using is sourced from Germany. Veg tanned and naturally coloured with subtle textures. From all of my research it seems the best impression results will come from hot press rather than cold (esp. considering the leather I'm using) Budget is around $500 - $850 max. Kwikprint is too expensive. Used Kingsley, Howard machines maybe? Any others? I know a lot about leather but the hot stamping / embossing is new to me. Will be great to get some advice from experts. Cheers, George

Cheers I'm based in Australia, but willing to pay shipping cost for a quality machine as they are very hard to come by locally. Budget is flexible, but around $500

So I bought a pretty cool heat press off of eBay. It was advertised as a Kingsley but after talking to the seller on the phone it came out that the press is actually a Gold-Magic Robotemp 315 and it comes with 5 sets of Kingsley letters and a huge tub of foil. I won it for only $100 and I'm driving up to Maine next week to pick it up. Even though I am a bit bummed it isn't a Kingley, for $100 I am not going to hold a grudge. Here are some photos of it that came off of the listing. It doesn't come with a manual since the seller got it for free off of a gentleman that used to work for the State of Maine. The original owner used the press for fancy invitations for state functions, and the seller I bought it off of used it to monogram leather guitar straps. I'm hoping someone here knows where I can find a manual for this machine or has any insight whatsoever. Thank you -Bear
