Struggling here - 1/4" and 3/8" inch letter stamping may be the death of me. I want to get a T bar to use with my Vevor press so I can just line them up and they don't move when I press down. I have tried going from the center out, using a guideline, etc. No matter what I do the slightest movement causes letters to look so dang wonky I can't send the product out. I have the Tandy stamp guide too but it's difficult to use with my press. Tips and tricks or places to order the letter stamp holder and not break my bank are appreciated! Thanks!

I am just getting into antique leather restoration, etc. and I have a problem. I have a nice "motorcycle" or "western" belt from the 1940s and at some point it lost it's name, which was "FORTUNE" in what would have been yellow brass or chromed brass letters. I have been searching all over the web for alphabet spots but those currently available are not of the right design or size to reproduce the name. Ace Western Belts in Japan appears to reproduce these, but the cost is high and I am not sure the size is right. The original letters were 7/16" tall, or nearly half an inch. Communication with these folks is not easy because of the language barrier. So, does anyone have any letters I could buy that I could use to finish this belt? The photo of the actual belt shows other losses which I have fixed, but so far I cannot get those letters! I am also looking at restoration of this type to be an ongoing effort, so I am also looking for a source of vintage spots and jewels for future projects. Any help or suggestions would be appreciated. Thanks in advance for your help!!!

Hi, ANY HELP WILL BE APPRECIATED. I have purchased a Kwikprint Model #55 and have come across a very reasonably priced Kingsley type/font set. Does anyone know if Kingsley type fits the Kwikprint. Can't seem to find anything specific about this through my research. Cheers,

I'm making a document folder for a friend, with her initials (GW) carved in. I've found the script and can cut out fairly nicely with the swivel knife. Question is, how to bevel? The lettering is a single cut (ie not a raised letter), essentially using the swivel knife as a pen. So do I double bevel or just pick a side and bevel that?

I want to start making fire helmet shields, however, I don't have letter stamps yet. In your opinion, what are some good fonts or sizes for stamps? My goal is the find ones that make the letters look raised. Thanks!

Say I'd like to have a belt that says "LILY LAMBDA" all written in rivets. (In fact, I would like that very much) How do I lay out the letters nicely so I know where to put the rivets? I could draw a grid and try to handwrite my own LED-looking font, but I'm wondering if there's a better way. It would be real magic if there was a program where I could put in the dimensions of the leather, the dimensions of the rivet heads, and kaboom — it makes a printable guide for you. What have you tried?

I am doing a belt and I want to get the letters darker than my dye I am using. I have only stamped a couple of times all my stuff is plain (no tooling) minimal stamping. The customer wants the letters to be darker. The example they gave me is attached. I have practice using a dark brown dye but it just looks a little browner. I have also used a highlighter but only minimal results. Any suggestions or tips. This is really my first time doing this kind of stamping. Pat
