Hello there I am new to the forums but have been sewing in fabrics and leather for a long time. I recently was given a singer 136w110 as a gift for my birthday. It was shipped and the carrier, fedex, did not do a good job packing it or being careful with it. I am unsure if the issue i am currently concerned with was there before shipping or after but the box it came in was very beat up. The needle broke in shipping and today as i was inspecting some things as i work to figure out a table and motor for it i noticed that when i turn the balance wheel it has a wobble to it. It’s pretty distinct and there is more resistance in the turn at part of the wobble. I can’t tell if the wheel itself is bent or if the shaft it is spinning is what is bent. I wanted to start by removing the wheel but i can’t figure out how to do that. There are two set screws that i removed but then there is what looks like a very big flat head screw on the end. I can’t get that to turn or loosen. I think i might need parts once i am able to get the handwheel off so any help with information or tips on how to work on this machine as well as where to find parts for it would be amazing! Thanks so much

Hello friends, I just got a very greasy Consew 206rb-1. This will be my pride and joy machine. I am hoping this machine will clean up well. My plans are to remove the old dry oil in the main parts. I welcome any tips to remove old oil puddles. Additionally, the machine needs a needle bar. According to the Consew Manual, part # is 10530 for the needle bar. In my search for the needle bar, I came across part # 19413. Is the #19413 bar, the same as the 10530 bar? I was thinking the #19413 contains the additional NEEDLE BAR THREAD GUIDE & NEEDLE & GUIDE SCREW? I would love to buy OEM parts, however, do you recommend a particular brand or seller? Likewise, I welcome any input to accomplish my goal of bringing this fine machine back to health.

I have two questions that I hope the forum can help with. First, I bought the American leather splitter on Ebay and the seller listed it as working - it isn't. The mechanism at the top that creates downward tension on roller that feeds leather and should be adjustable by hand, is partially broken and partially missing. I've found a thread here that says its a comon problem. Is there a place to get replacement or a manual? I've asked the seller for a solution and they are not being helpful. I've requested a refund, as this is just not good business. I hate to do this to them, I'm sure they are just trying to make extra money, but I have an unusable piece of machinery. I can probably get a local machinist to make something for me, but I'm wondering what a fair value would be for the machine as is? I'd like to be a nice guy (girl actually). Really appreciate any input!! Jennifer Remember: Always pillage before burning.

Hi, I've cracked a major drive component in a 45k-93- this is a 1964 late model 45 with reverse- image below. I am seeking a replacement part, which I believe works in a cam- type arrangement? and links the main drive shaft to a rod which goes to the bottom of the machine. As the machine is not yet freed up (thus the cracking!) I'm not sure what it does, or how exactly it works under movement- but given I can't find the part in other exploded views of 45's I think it must be associated with the reverse function (not than many 45s have reverse)- image below shows the cracked part (view through top inspection hole with the top of the machine to the right)- about 5cm long fixed with two bolts. Hoping someone can help, or guide me to parts list or supplier of odd bits... I think this may be hard to find her in Tasmania, Australia. Oh, when tapping parts with a hammer to free things up, remember to see what they are attached to before you decide how hard to tap... (and use a soft face hammer and/ or something like a piece of wood...hmmmm).

I bought an old Landis 36 McKay and it is decent shape, aside from the shuttle mechanism which I was able to replace. Unfortuantely it was missing one Friction Disk Shifter Link. Part # 36-12-22. I have tried calling Landis and a few other machinery companies with no luck. Anyone got any leads? The assistance would be GREATLY appreciated.
