Case and Stamp This Leather?

Hello,

For a leather like this:

Would I be able to case it to stamp it? It's veg tan (I get you can't case chrome tanned leather to stamp); how else can you tell if you can case and stamp it for leathers finished like this?

I have not worked with Buttero, so no first hand experience. However, it is a finished leather so I would think that may prevent water from absorbing into it.
