Members esty Posted December 17, 2022 Members Report Posted December 17, 2022 i have an workhorse Consew 255 that i cannot figure out how to adjust the presser foot pressure...i found some diagrams that show a screw, down in a hole, at the top of the machine but it doesn't do anything except turn, it has no effect on the foot pressure.... i can't sew vinyl, the presser foot indents it because of the heavy pressure Quote
Moderator Wizcrafts Posted December 17, 2022 Moderator Report Posted December 17, 2022 Does your machine have a long pressure spring running along the back of the head? If so, the pressure screw is near the center-rear of the head, not the left front. The screw would press down on the long spring. Back it off. Quote
Members chisel Posted December 17, 2022 Members Report Posted December 17, 2022 What Wiz said. To illustrate, find spring #16 on rear of machine. Screw #18 presses down on the spring, so loosen screw from top of machine. It's a small hole so you'll need a narrow slotted screwdriver. Quote
