Members Ddat Posted February 1, 2023 Members Report Posted February 1, 2023 My old belt got all raggedy and was never as stiff as I wanted. 8 oz. Face, 4 oz. Inner liner. Got these buckles from fosterweld on Etsy. Quote
CFM chuck123wapati Posted February 1, 2023 CFM Report Posted February 1, 2023 nice, That'll hold your britches up! i like the blue thread!! Quote
Members doubleh Posted February 1, 2023 Members Report Posted February 1, 2023 12 ounce thickness, it certainly should keep your pants in place. I don't know that I would like one that heavy duty. Quote
Members Brokenolmarine Posted February 2, 2023 Members Report Posted February 2, 2023 I'd go with a heavy duty belt. You know, to hold up a holster and mag pouch.. but I see the poster is from CA... he may not need to do so. I see why you went with Blue thread, picks up the buckle. Could have gone with Orange as well. Both would have looked sharp. Great Job. Quote
Members Dwight Posted February 2, 2023 Members Report Posted February 2, 2023 A good belt is hard to come by these days . . . but it looks like you did it well. I'm wearing a double 7 oz that is nearly 20 years old . . . it is right at .220 inches thick . . . And I make a version like that which has a steel lining for those who need their britches not to sag. Thanks for sharing with us . . . May God bless, Dwight Quote
Members PastorBob Posted February 2, 2023 Members Report Posted February 2, 2023 Sharp looking belt. I also like the blue thread, really dresses it up. Quote
Members Hags Posted February 3, 2023 Members Report Posted February 3, 2023 I use 8/9 with a 4/5 backing to hold up holsters and pouches. Works well. Quote

It was tricky getting the thick and thin layer beveled nicely. Quote

I used some blue thread on a belt dyed with whiskey antique , I took a bit of a punt. You never know if you never give it a go. Looked damn good Nice HS Quote
