Ed in Tx Report post Posted February 26, 2023 Ditto on the Campbell Randall as the source. Actually I believe they have a grey color made by the same company Fenice. It is by far the best water based dye I have used. They also sell a reducer that is made specifically for the Fenice line of products.
Simplejack1985 Report post Posted February 26, 2023 I took black and reduced it to grey for a carving I did with airborne wings. Not sure if this helps or not
Thescandall Report post Posted February 26, 2023 I’m going to try the Campbell- Randall to see. The blade is almost done and it’s definitely gray after the acid dip.
Handstitched Report post Posted February 28, 2023 Another idea, mix a little black dye into some white leather paint, just experiment with it until you get the colour you want. HS
