Members Ed in Tx Posted February 26, 2023 Members Report Posted February 26, 2023 Ditto on the Campbell Randall as the source. Actually I believe they have a grey color made by the same company Fenice. It is by far the best water based dye I have used. They also sell a reducer that is made specifically for the Fenice line of products. Quote
Members Simplejack1985 Posted February 26, 2023 Members Report Posted February 26, 2023 I took black and reduced it to grey for a carving I did with airborne wings. Not sure if this helps or not Quote
Members Thescandall Posted February 26, 2023 Author Members Report Posted February 26, 2023 I’m going to try the Campbell- Randall to see. The blade is almost done and it’s definitely gray after the acid dip. Quote
Members Handstitched Posted February 28, 2023 Members Report Posted February 28, 2023 Another idea, mix a little black dye into some white leather paint, just experiment with it until you get the colour you want. HS Quote
