salvi Report post Posted August 15, 2023 (edited) Hi everyone. I'd like to know your opinion on what type of thread and thickness, as well as needle size to get a realy nice machine sewing stitching on a belt edge. I love the one in the picture made by a Cowboy sewing machine or an Adler 205-370. Thank you all. https://drive.google.com/file/d/1EoDm2q4r8L1uVMlTMY16W4AStMCHxVXe/view?usp=sharing https://drive.google.com/file/d/1EoDm2q4r8L1uVMlTMY16W4AStMCHxVXe/view?usp=sharing belt.bmp Edited August 15, 2023 by salvi
Dwight Report post Posted August 15, 2023 Not sure of the needle number (if it slides nice and threads easily . . . I use it) My thread I've used for 20+ years has been 346. Makes a bold and satisifying look on the belt as far as I'm concerned. Typically use about 6 stitches per inch. Never have had a customer comment badly about the stiching. May God bless, Dwight
Handstitched Report post Posted August 15, 2023 (edited) I do something similar . I use a 277 M10 thread, and a 180 #24 needle , if that helps. I too like the ' bold' look HS Edited August 15, 2023 by Handstitched
