Protex ty-8b instructions

Recommended Posts

Hey folks, I have just purchased a Protex ty-8b from a deceased estate and it seems that the owner manual/instructions are missing... Would anyone have a copy that they are willing to scan, or some idea on where I can find one?

Cheers

Jaye.

Some photos might help.  Overall from the front, back, close up of presser foot from front and back and from the left end.  Chances are it is a clone and photos would be a big help in identifying it.

With an “8B” in the name, chances are good it’s a clone of a Seiko STW-8B, sold in the USA as the Consew 226r, and cloned many times over.

Sorry for the delay folks... It turns out I don't have this set up to notify me of responses! Lol...

It's a compound feed cylinder arm with a drop in bobbin set up (I was hoping for a bigger bobbin, but this machine was bloody cheap!).

I'm working on shrinking photos at the moment so they meet the requirements for uploading...

Any help would be appreciated.

Photo is 1.3MB.  You can reduce the file size a lot more.  800 or 1024 pixels for longest edge is great.

See these links for more assistance.  Lots of suggestions and helps in this thread.

Here’s the manual:

Seiko CW, LCW, NCW Operator’s Guide.pdf 257.95 kB · 1 download

Thanks! I think I found some instructions for that one!
