Rod and Denise Nikkel Report post Posted January 8, 2008 Johanna, Once again I am being logged out when I get off the site. Not every time, but often. It did this a while back and you fixed it then, so hopefully it is a simple fix again. Thanks for all your work to get everything up and running again. Johanna Report post Posted January 8, 2008 It was doing it to me, too, which was hard because I am 2 members on here, especially as messed up as things have been this past week. Stupid computers. I just turned off the "stronghold cookie" that makes our browsers get jumpy. Another symptom of the stronghold cookie is when the member gets a pm notification, the browser warns you that a page "out of its control" is attempting to access the page. duh, it's the notification from another part of the board! So we should see an improvement. Clear temp files, click "delete all cookies on the board", reboot your computer, and walk 13 counter clockwise circles around a dead cat at midnight with an amulet and sacrifice of your choice. And nobody better touch Beaverslayer's hat. Look what happened the last time! Johanna
bruce johnson Report post Posted January 8, 2008 Johanna, It is doing it to me intermittantly, I am not messing with Beaverslayer's hat and I left the tinfoil union suit at home. Will duct tape work?? Denise, As some may not know, Denise is a retired veterinarian. I am sure she has done the deceased feline incantation (we all have), but may not have as ready an acess to the makings now.

Johanna Report post Posted January 8, 2008 It's okay, freak, you can use a chicken instead. Just not a beaver, or dear, no. If we make any beaver deity angry, we have to put tinfoil on all the cow's horns in Texas to make the board work, and we would still get doughnuts unfit for human consumption. I need to have a word with the refreshment committee! Seems to be working here okay now. Any better there yet? Johanna
Rod and Denise Nikkel Report post Posted January 8, 2008 Seems to be working better now, Johanna. Maybe a dead mouse works? It was about midnight last night when the trap snapped, and while my Great White Knight, Sir Roderick, was gallantly rescuing me by removing the mouse from the trap, I was doing something that may have resembled an incantation of sorts. (Pet rodents - fine. Wild ones running uninvited around my house - different sort of creatures (and reactions) altogether.) It just had a bit of a time lag to it??? Bob Report post Posted January 10, 2008 Johanna, tonight the server wouldn't let me move around... the message was something like "the bandwidth was exceeded" about two hours ago. It works now ofcourse... Just letting you know... Sure am thankful the board is up and workin again. Thanks Bob
Johanna Report post Posted January 10, 2008 Thanks Bob. We have a brand new webhost now, and barring another freak "Act of God" event, we should be good to go now, for good. The error tonight was because the wind stole Beaverslayer's tinfoil hat and he had to run around the yard chasing it before he could catch it and get it back on again. Hmmm anybody got any duct tape? TwinOaks Report post Posted January 12, 2008 Well, as of today, I've had no problems running on either the desktop or the laptop,...or both. Seems like all is well here in Leatherland. I've been able to access everything just fine- in fact, I kinda pushed the envelope a little: I logged on from the desktop with two windows active, then simultaneously visited via the laptop with 2 windows, all from bookmarks I think it's fixed. I've got some spare line 24 snaps if no one can find their ducttape for Beav's hat
Beaverslayer Report post Posted January 12, 2008 Well just so's everyone knows, I caught up to the hat...ran like hell for an old geezer like me, made a tinfoil strap...per instructions learned here on the forum, and low and behold...all your problems are fixed.
