DieselTech Report post Posted December 4, 2023 Here is my 1st leather carving, just some letters for a key chain. I made this for my sister to get some practice with the swivel knife & to try my hand at carving. How bad is is it? It's got a few flaws. But I dont think it looks to bad. fredk Report post Posted December 4, 2023 I see what you mean. I only use my speedy-stitcher in emergencies. Its not too late; you can unpick the sewing and re-do it
chuck123wapati Report post Posted December 4, 2023 if you use a speedy stich remember to set the knot inside the leather like a sewing machine does. it will look a bit better.

Yeah I fight that with a speedy stitcher. I always seem to end up with the knots on the back side. I pull tight! almost to the point of cutting your fingers with the thread. I'll saddle stitch these from here on out. Thanks.
