Please help with the correct needle size for 111w102.  It is needle and drop fed only.
Do not have a manual and lost the one needle I knew was working.   Thanks all.

All Singer 111 models use System 135x16 (leather point) and 135x17 (cloth round point) needles. They are sold by all industrial sewing machine dealers, and on eBay. Here is a thread and needle chart to match the needle "size" to the thread "size." Your machine uses approximately 1.75 inch long needles.

The needle size and system are two different things. The size refers to the diameter of the needle above the eye, but below the mounting shank. The System defines a particular architecture (length, shank diameter, eye shape). A "size" 18 (metric 110) needle is fairly thin and is used with #69 bonded thread.

This is a needle feed & unless someone changed it it should take a 135x5 for cloth ,vinyl & webbing & a 135x8 for leather it's about 1/4" shorter than the 135x17.

Wiz.  Thanks.  However, the 102 was an odd variant.  I cannot for the life of me find a manual specific to the model.  I just do not want to go thru the process of ordering needles that are slightly off.   Was counting on someone having the same model.  I will try the 135 unless someone can confirm otherwise.   Thanks for your reply.

This is for a walking foot machine BUT everything is the same except you don't have the walking feet parts to adjust.
