Daggrim Report post Posted November 27, 2007 Hi people. I just found this site today. It was mentioned in Armor Archives, and I scurried over here because I'm a leatherworker, not a metalworker. I make leather helmets modeled after the metal helmets of the Middle Ages. I sell at Renaissance Faires, so I make other leather things, too, but the helmets are the main attraction. I'm self taught, except for a little advice from my leather supplier. I'm not sure yet how to post pictures and links, so if you want to see what I make, please go to "leatherhelms.com". My leather experience is narrow, so I'm glad I found this site. I feel a little overwhelmed by how much is out there that I didn't know...that I didn't even know I didn't know. Guest Report post Posted November 27, 2007 Daggram Welcome to the site guy. I'm Dave Theobald and I'm one of the guy who does motorcycle seats here. There are quite a few of us bike seat makers at Leatherworker. Awesome site that you have for yourself and a great gallery! I know you are not into bikes but after seeing your terrific work at wet molding, I thought you might like to visit this specific bike. The bike is called Beserker built by Paul Cox. I thought it might be something that tickles your fancy. http://www.paulcoxleather.com/berserker.shtml Enjoy this site it is a great place with super people. TomSwede Report post Posted November 27, 2007 Greetings and hails from the nordic region Daggram! Very nice looking spangenhelms you make and glad to see some without those horns aswell I tried to get one together a few years ago but failed to get the panels to line up correctly and gave up on it. Nowadays I do have sketches for the spangenhelm so who knows, maybe someday. I have a great interest in vikingage and myth so it's nice to see some authentic stuff. Keep up the good work!
