Just found this place and it looks like exactly what I've been looking for. Started leatherwork a couple months ago and have been practicing on some smaller projects. Not having lots of success yet but will keep plugging away.

Look forward to reading and learning as much as I can here!

I teach Jr. High History and Shop class and in the summer I am a wildland firefighter. My other hobbies are building cars and bikes, metalwork, woodwork, hunt and fish and bbq (didnt have enough interests so thought I'd add leatherwork!)

Anyway, I'll take a day or two to read up do some searches and I definately look forward to asking questions and learning from you all here! thanks-

well, you asked for some pics so here goes, prepare to be underwelmed!

these are of a holster of a gunbelt I made for my son (he's 5, so the scale of it is alittle skewed) never mind the lacing on the edge, it was what I had on hand...

and here is couple others. These projects are the extent of my leatherworking so far, as I said I've only been at this for a couple months. I seem to be having the commone problems of figuring out the best way to case, edge, sew, etc. Please critique as I really want to learn to do this better, I'm having lots of fun with it.

Oh and sorry about the pics, my photo skills are about as good as my leather work skills :)
