I'm trying to buy this machine and wanted to see if it's possible to switch the 3 phase motors to single phase?

Should not be no reason why you cant change it to single phase. More than likely you will need to purchase a new motor. They also make a phase convertor I believe.

I don't see why not. As DT said either buy a new motor or you could use a VFD (Variable Frequency Device) to convert your existing single phase to a 3-phase output to run the existing motor.

Is that the same as a converter? 

Thanks for the info. Do you happen to know what size motors it requires?
