Members Clmsaddleryandleathergoods Posted April 9, 2024 Members Report Posted April 9, 2024 I'm trying to buy this machine and wanted to see if it's possible to switch the 3 phase motors to single phase? Quote
Members DieselTech Posted April 9, 2024 Members Report Posted April 9, 2024 Should not be no reason why you cant change it to single phase. More than likely you will need to purchase a new motor. They also make a phase convertor I believe. Quote
Members dikman Posted April 9, 2024 Members Report Posted April 9, 2024 I don't see why not. As DT said either buy a new motor or you could use a VFD (Variable Frequency Device) to convert your existing single phase to a 3-phase output to run the existing motor. Is that the same as a converter? Thanks for the info. Do you happen to know what size motors it requires? Quote
