DaleksInc Report post Posted August 8 Per the title, I'm interested in using some (mid-sized) embossing plates, but don't have a clicker (and probably won't for a while; those things are somewhat expensive.) Is it possible to use an embossing plate without one, or am I out of luck?
fredk Report post Posted August 8 (edited) I use a Tandy Pro press, others use arbour thingies, what ever can give pressure. I have number of different sized embossing plates I use And if the plate is not too big a ginormous whack with a mallet will do the trick too Edited August 8 by fredk

Just to add to the list if you have a hydraulic shop press that would also work. kgg

toxo Report post Posted August 9 If nothing else, dampen the leather slightly and squeeze between couple of boards with some clamps will get you out of trouble.
