I sort of stumbled into leatherwork. I started making knives a couple of years ago, and I quickly got tired of buying sheaths for them. I decided to learn to make functional basic friction retention sheaths to keep my costs down.

As is usually the case with me, before long, I found myself going deeper. The deeper. Soon, I realized that making the sheaths was pretty much as enjoyable as making the knives. And, just as it does with the knives, I am always looking to elevate what I am doing. At the current moment, I am wanting to do more carving and tooling.

The attached image is my first attempt at carving and tooling. I was trying to duplicate the Celtic knot pattern from the belt.

Super job on the sheath!

The handle on that knife looks amazing though. Beautiful job on that, too.

My only criticism is your profile. I'm pretty sure Indianapolis is in OH, not IN

Very Nice.  Have you discovered Landwerlen's yet?
