Newbie from the midwest

I sort of stumbled into leatherwork. I started making knives a couple of years ago, and I quickly got tired of buying sheaths for them. I decided to learn to make functional basic friction retention sheaths to keep my costs down.

As is usually the case with me, before long, I found myself going deeper. The deeper. Soon, I realized that making the sheaths was pretty much as enjoyable as making the knives. And, just as it does with the knives, I am always looking to elevate what I am doing. At the current moment, I am wanting to do more carving and tooling.

The attached image is my first attempt at carving and tooling. I was trying to duplicate the Celtic knot pattern from the belt.
