barclay Report post Posted November 10 (edited) Hi Guys and Gals, My 345 has been stitching perfectly until about an hour ago. I was testing some vinyl and it jammed, now the timing is off by almost 180 degrees. Where to start? Edited November 10 by barclay did not finish that's all. AlZilla Report post Posted November 10 (edited) Here are a bunch of manuals: https://leatherworker.net/forum/topic/85809-pfaff-345-service-manual-download/?do=findComment&comment=582713 This thread talks a little about timing a 335: Maybe it'll help. It also mentions needlebar height. I don't know if it could slip enough to go 180 degrees out. Maybe one of the big dogs will sniff this one out and have an easier answer for you. Can't do anything with the timing it it is tripped.
barclay Report post Posted November 11 I don't believe it has a clutch. it would be on the center shaft looking at the bottom, correct?
Uwe Report post Posted November 11 (edited) If your machine doesn’t have a safety clutch , then you’ll have to re-time the hook. The Pfaff safety clutch looks and works differently from other manufacturers. I made this video some time ago: Edited November 11 by Uwe
barclay Report post Posted November 11 thanks Uwe. the vid did not open but I got it sewing again. loosened the gear below the hook on the horizontal shaft from the right end of machine, the center shaft. retimed it and it stitches. hope that is what I should have done, just made sense that when it jammed the gear slipped.
